From the Good Shepherd to Touching a Sheep

At the 7th and 8th grade class Mass on Monday, April 23, 2018, Father Julian, from the African country Togo, discussed with the students how Jesus is the Good Shepherd. He asked the students if they had ever touched a sheep. Only a few had! More importantly, he challenged the students to be the “voice of Jesus.” Father Julian encouraged the students to show Jesus’ love to His sheep by always being kind.

On Tuesday, April 24, 2018, two speakers from Lake Metroparks brought animals to discuss ecosystems, wildlife, and farms. The assembly, sponsored by PTU, brought wildlife and domesticated animals to Mazenec Hall. The students were able to touch the foot and wing of a red-tailed hawk, the fur of an opossum, as well as touch an actual sheep!

It has been a great start to the week!
