Students, teachers, and parents pray the Stations of the Cross

On Friday, February 23, 2018, students, teachers, and parents gathered together with Father Burchell to pray the Stations of the Cross.

Students in the Junior High were active participants in the prayer, with students reading, holding candles and the cross, and helping their kindergarten and first grade littles pray. Students in the first thru sixth grade had active roles as well, with some students reading and others cantoring.

This is a special prayer service that helps all involved “walk with Jesus” to understand his journey and better understand our own Lenten journey.

All members of the St. Rita community are invited to join us at 2 pm in the Church for our next Stations of the Cross on March 2, 9, 16, and 23, as we prepare for Jesus’ resurrection this Easter. If you are a parent who normally picks your child up, or perhaps has the flexibility to take a late lunch, come and pray with us! We’d love to pray with you.

We adore you O Christ, and we praise you.

For by your holy cross you have redeemed the world.
